I can't reccomend these shoes just based on durability. This shoes are NOT high quality.
I purchased them in May 2025. By June 2026, the shoes had a tear in the leather by the toe and the lace holes. I reached out to Anya's shoes in May 2026 when the tears started to appear and they weren't able to do anything. I really loved these shoes and found them very comfortable. I'm very bummed that in barely a year, I need to either throw these shoes away or try to get creative with repairs. I recently reached out to Shapen to see if they can provide any support.
***In a time of overconsumption, we can not as consumers, support shoes that last less than a year. That is terrible for the environment and I feel really bad and torn (no pun intended) about what to do next with these shoes
Before buying, pay attention to how long the reviewer has owned these shoes.
Hi Daphne and thank you for sharing your experience. We're really bummed about the issues you've faced. It is extremely difficult to predict how long a shoe will last for each individual because of lifestyles, shoe rotations, etc. Sometimes it works out that a shoe will only last certain individuals a year, which, unfortunately, is not something we can control. We are happy to help you find a more durable shoe for your context and lifestyle, so please don't hesitate to contact us at shop@anyas-shop.com for future help.
I tried hard to make these work. Bought three different sizes and finally found one that was long enough but unfortunately the toe box felt stiff on one foot rubbed against my foot. Not sure I’m willing to try to next size up as they will probably be too big overall. Cute shoes if they work for you though! Thank you to Anya for making Shapen accessible to UA customers!
Thanks for the review, Dee! I'm bummed to hear these didn't work for you. They are a favorite shoe of mine. Hopefully you can find another sneaker that suits you better. They do soften up a great deal with time. Let us know if you need more help at shop@anyas-shop.com!
I have the peach color and wear these almost everyday to work (elementary school). I’m on my feet all day in my position so I add an insert with tiny bumps to help with fatigue. Easy to take out the original insert. I used a waterproofer on the exterior to help with longevity. They were comfortable right out of the box and I did not have any issue with the tongue as other reviewers mention. I’ve had them for a year and they’re still going strong. Came back to purchase another color!
What a wonderful experience, Catherine! Thanks for taking the time to review these. We're so happy to hear how perfect these are for you and hope to serve you again soon. :)
These are very comfortable and fit me well. My issues are that they make a lot of squeaking noises when I walk, the top of the toe box has started to look lumpy and not very nice, and the insole does not stay in place which makes them annoying to put on.
Hi Emily! Thanks for taking the time to review here. Bummer you're experiencing squeaking and insole misplacement with your shoes. Thankfully there are some remedies for this! If you only plan to wear the shoes with insoles, you can attach some double sided tape in the toes and heels to keep them in place. I'll have to email you for troubleshooting with the squeaking, so look in your inbox for an email from us! :)
These shoes were everything I was looking for EXCEPT (as another reviewer stated) the tongue is long, very stiff, and presses extremely uncomfortably into the front of my ankle. I’ll include a picture comparing the women’s Shapen Rewind to the women’s Koel IIa, which I absolutely love everything about.
As far as size goes on the Shapen Rewind, I’m typically a 40 and the 40 I ordered fit well. I preferred the feeling of the shoe without the included insert. I felt leaving it out gave me that little bit of extra space I prefer without having to go up in size and risking the shoe being too large overall.
