After years of being miserable trying to cram my wide at the toes feet into boots/shoes, I am so glad I found Anya's website and shop. My foot shape is slope, wide through the forefoot with narrow heels. I have low volume feet. If you have wide feet in any capacity, you know the drill every fall/winter: See cute boots, be let down by the fact that no cute boots fit properly, even if you order extra wide or men's styles.
Imagine my glee when I discovered these actually fit and they look pretty cool. I started out with the brown and just purchased the black. I wish they were available in burgundy.
The soft leather is not waterproof so I used a spray on them and it works a charm. I probably wouldn't wear them in a torrential downpour to splash in puddles, but they are fine for a sprinkle or light rainy conditions after waterproofing.
I was concerned that the wool lining might make them too hot. I live in the Southeast US so we do get some bitterly cold days in winter, but right now still have mild/hot temps and they are just fine even with socks.
I don't always wear barefoot only shoes and was able to do quite a bit of walking in these without discomfort right out of the box. I am going to get a thin insole for comfort since that is my preference. Yours may be different.
If you are on the fence about these, I highly recommend.
These have to be the most comfortable shoes I've ever tried. Right out of the box, I didn't want to take them off. Ahh, so comfy! So soft! When I placed the order, only the chestnut was available, in my usual size 39 and not 40 which I'd have preferred for this winter boot (on massive sale though, so it was a steal!). My feet are 25cm long, 9.5 cm wide, mountain and fan-shaped, and these fit perfectly - though it is a snug fit. I won't be able to wear very thick socks or add an insole. With my Kirkland merinos, these fit snugly but comfortably. I plan to wear them mostly to the office and casually going outside, not on long nature walks, so that's fine. The chestnut metallic color is gorgeous and goes with pretty much anything, which I was afraid it wouldn't. But, these are much more versatile than you'd think for a brownish color. Stylish enough for both casual and office wear. Almost looking forward to fall/winter in a few months just so I can actually wear these. When I come back for the black ones, I'll definitely go for the size 40.
These boots are so soft and cute. I have plenty of room for my toes. I ordered a size 41 and they fit great. I love the brown color. I will be ordering the full length boots. Great craftmanship.
I’m a recent barefoot shoe convert, and am very pleased with these peerko frost boots in black. They required absolutely no break in time and the wool lining provides some extra cushioning and warmth. I typically wear a size 11 US women’s. I originally ordered a size 43, but had to return them for a larger size. The return process was very easy. I ended up with a size 45 since the 44 was out of stock, but I’m actually happy with the roomier fit. Thanks anya’s shop for making these boots accessible and affordable.
Beautifully made. Extremely comfortable in all the best barefoot shoe ways and still cozy in our single digit weather in central Oregon.
