I recently got Quintec boots by this brand and love them. I confidently ordered the same size in these assuming the brand will be consistent. It is not. In comparison these boots are noticeably smaller. The heel also pushes the foot forward adding to the tight feeling in the toes. My ankle/heel is rather a straight line, heel does not protrude so I had empty space in the her while the toe got push forward. One foot felt ok, but the bigger foot was cramped. I ordered a 42 hoping to get the right fit.
42 was too big, heel slid up and down and space around the heel and toe but the toe ox still felt tighter than the other model. The boots do not fit with toe spacer of any kind.
The leather is nice and they do look neat and stylish. I really wanted these to wear with dresses and skirts.
I am very disappointed by the inconsistent sizing from the brand.
Now I afraid to order any other shoes by Zaqq.
I paid the $3 for the option to exchange and return at no cost. Return was easy. The new size was shipped fast and arrived in a few days. Very sorry I cannot keep this model in 41 or 42. :(
I’ve had this beautiful Zaqq Riquet black short leather boot with the buckle for two years. Going into my third season with it. Absolutely love it. I have a high volume wide size 39 foot and it has fit me beautifully for thinner sock use, but now that I’ve worn it for a few seasons, I may start putting warmer socks in since I wear pants all winter. Beautifully made and super comfortable. Haven’t even polished until now when it’s lightly scuffed! Can’t recommend this one enough!
I have a low volume foot, and these are roomy on me, but I will add an insole and tongue cushion if needed at a later point. I have slim ankles - but I can adjust the buckle to tighten a little, and I can wear with slouch socks, etc. Super cute look, and very comfortable. I wear a US 8.5, and got my usual European size 39 after checking measurements.
These are beautiful, quality boots but they were too snug for my wide, high volume feet. I returned them and got a pair of Shapen Divine boots instead, which I love! I am so grateful there is another option with a similar look that fits my feet.
I absolutely love these boots. The leather is soft and buttery, the strap allows you to adjust how they fit around the ankle. I have purchased 2 pairs of boots off Etsy and paid less than I’ve paid for the 2 shoes I’ve bought from Anya’s shop and I’ve now decided it’s worth it pay more and buy from Anya. The quality and elegance/shape of the shoes is so much better. And that is especially important with barefoot shoes. The one thing I would say about these Zaqqs is that I think they run a little small. I wish I had returned them and gone a size up. I didn’t because I loved them so much and wanted to start wearing them, but I feel the pinch. Usually 39 works well for me, but 40 would have been ideal in these.
