This is my first barefoot pare and I'm very happy with it. Comfortable and well made. The wool lining is great for a warm winter but I might purchase wool insoles for those extra cold days. The sole- as flat as it is -is not slippery on the snow. Per size chart I'm in-between sizes, so I sized up for the fur and a potential thick winter sock, and it's great. Also want to notate I ordered a wrong size at first and due to Anyas policy it was a breeze to exchange. Happy with the purchase and the service!
The boots fit perfectly. After ordering, I realized that I should've ordered a size up. So I contacted them asking if it could be changed and they fixed my order right away. Everything came on time and in perfect condition.
I bought these and the Peerko Go ankle boots earlier this winter in the same size (38). The Go boots fit me perfectly with everything but these are a bit snug with anything but the thinnest sock due to the wool lining. I love them and wear them regularly, they look and feel great, but given the chance to do it again, I'd size up so I had more sock options.
They are beautiful and super comfy. Definitely size up if you plan to wear with thick socks. Delivery was fast and flawless
After years of being miserable trying to cram my wide at the toes feet into boots/shoes, I am so glad I found Anya's website and shop. My foot shape is slope, wide through the forefoot with narrow heels. I have low volume feet. If you have wide feet in any capacity, you know the drill every fall/winter: See cute boots, be let down by the fact that no cute boots fit properly, even if you order extra wide or men's styles.
Imagine my glee when I discovered these actually fit and they look pretty cool. I started out with the brown and just purchased the black. I wish they were available in burgundy.
The soft leather is not waterproof so I used a spray on them and it works a charm. I probably wouldn't wear them in a torrential downpour to splash in puddles, but they are fine for a sprinkle or light rainy conditions after waterproofing.
I was concerned that the wool lining might make them too hot. I live in the Southeast US so we do get some bitterly cold days in winter, but right now still have mild/hot temps and they are just fine even with socks.
I don't always wear barefoot only shoes and was able to do quite a bit of walking in these without discomfort right out of the box. I am going to get a thin insole for comfort since that is my preference. Yours may be different.
If you are on the fence about these, I highly recommend.
