I've long wanted a pair of zero-drop, ankle-ish height boots in a warm, caramel color, and have/had been holding out until I found a pair that I knew would fit my foot (which is wider in the toe box, with a narrow heel, high arch and low volume rise). I settled last year for a pair of Vivo Barefoot knee-high boots in a darker brown leather -- still beautiful, but a bit tight around the calf, and not quite the shade I had my heart set on.
So, when the presale for these hit, I ordered without a second thought — and even with the added wait time through customs (Anya's team was incredibly kind and communicative during this time; 5 stars for that alone), it was worth it.
These boots are comfy, stylish, and go perfectly with everything I own — I've dressed them up with tights and a dress; I've worn them out with jeans and a sweater. I find they pair very well with my cushioned Smartwool socks, which slip inside just fine; for comparison, I need to wear a very thin sock or go completely barefoot in the Vivo boots, largely due to the narrow shaft). I'm a true 38, and these fit as such. The craftsmanship is excellent.
I do wish the hue was just a tad lighter/warmer — but again, this is negligible in the grand scheme of things. (I'm also quite particular, FWIW.)
Worth every penny — if ever available in gray, I'd scoop them up, too — and I'm glad to have another barefoot brand in my repertoire!
