The Lila Chelsea Boots were developed by Anya to be a cute, classy, and versatile ankle boot in a healthy foot shape. They are 100% handmade using naturally tanned leather, cotton thread, and a pure rubber outsole. Leather detailing covers the elastic for a sleek look. They are comfortable for all day wear, can be dressed up, and are stylish. Note that the sole is made of natural leather and rubber, which can feel stiff when brand new. The leather softens with wear and conforms to your foot.

*Because leather is a natural material, there may be slight color and texture variations.

Fit Type:
  • Toe box: Slope & Mountain. This shoe works best for people with their 1st or 2nd toe longest. A square shaped foot might not have enough space for the outer toes (see Anya’s post on foot types).
  • Volume: High. Those with low volume feet should plan to use insoles and/or shoe tongue pads (see what is foot volume?).
  • Width: Medium Wide - These boots are consistent with average width barefoot shoe brands.

Great look, some issues

I have mixed feelings about these shoes. They are a gorgeous design, soft yet sturdy leather. There are two issues I have with them. low-volume (narrow) feet. I wear cushion (minimalist) insoles in all of my shoes for comfort and for bulk, when needed. In these shoes, I wear them for comfort (very hard foot bed). Unfortunately, adding the insoles makes my toes squish uncomfortable. There’s tons of room over the top of the foot to top ankle, but my toes are not happy. I’m continuing to wear them and am hoping the toes stretch. The other issue — the heel tab on the back does not fit a finger to pull the boot on. It’s only for decoration, I guess? I would not buy another pair in the current style.

Great for fall, soles not great for winter

These boots are very comfortable and stylish! They're excellent for the fall, but the sole has almost no tread so not ideal once winter strikes.

Very happy with these!

I generally don't seek out writing reviews but wanted to give a nod to these great boots! I was overwhelmed by all the options out there and decided that since I seek Anya's input for any shoes before I purchase them, why not try her shoes?! The fit is perfect for me and I can tell they will be comfy to wear all day at work. They are a little tricky to get on- my finger doesn't fit through the heel loop and I really have to work for a moment to get into them. But once they're on they feel great.

Favorite Boots Ever

I’ve been wearing these almost daily for 4 months and they are the most comfortable shoes. They look good with my work clothes and it feels like you aren’t wearing shoes most of the time. My feet sometimes slide around in them which does not bother me, but two other barefoot shoe enthusiasts tried mine on and felt like that was an issue for them.
