I love these! I enjoyed the feeling of the socks in shoes and my feet hurt less
I usually order med and medium/large in the no show injinji (7-9, EU40 1/2-44) but when I ordered their medium wool sock, the toes were too short, no problem, cuz I was able to return them. This crew sock from anya's in a medium (39-42) on my 9 1/2 inch long foot, is so long that the heel is almost an inch above my heel, when I pull the sock up. They sort of fit but in an annoying loose way. I had no way of knowing this until I opened the package (can't return after it's opened) and put them on. I've already spent $ on these, so if I order a small and the toes are too short, I'm stuck with those too. Needless to say I won't be ordering more toe socks from this website. I appreciate the return policy for the shoes, and finally found a pair of boots here and will continue ordering more til I can find what I want. Thanks again for that. The socks are definitely super cottony soft, though. I might try throwing them in the dryer to make them shrink, but we'll see.
This is my fourth pair!!! I’ve found the socks that are made for me!! The only negatives are that there could be more colors and that I don’t own enough pairs…
The review I previously wrote was for the relaxed version of these socks. They were mid-calf length and fit looser. The midi socks are different.
The only problem with these socks is that now I want to throw all my other socks away! One of my greatest peeves in life is when sock elastic digs into my legs. I don't have voluminous calves, but somehow, boot socks are always too tight and leave red marks. These socks do not do that! They have infused some kind of magic into the tops so that they are stretchy and snug, but also do not bind. Granted, these do not stay up as well as your average garrote socks, but that is kind of the point. The fabric is on the thinner side, extremely soft, absorbent, and very stretchy. These work great as liner socks underneath my hand-knit wool ones. I usually take a 38 and have longish toes, and the smallest size works just fine. I could probably also wear the next size up just as well, since the stretch is very forgiving. I can't speak to how long they last yet, but they are definitely worth the price. I do wish that they were a tiny bit taller, but they ARE taller than they look in the photos, and work well for low boots. There is a seam at the top (seamless would be even better), but it is fairly low-profile and does not bother me. The dark blue color is more of a navy, darker than they look in the photo.
