I really like the texture of this mat. The bed-of-nails design where there are many small points that hold you up somehow keeps my feet from falling asleep while I work. It's also got just enough cushion that my feet don't get sore while being quite a lot thinner than other standing mats I've tried. That's important since I'm pretty tall, so too much under my feet can throw the ergonomics off even when my desk is at max height. This mat has no problems there.
My only complaint is that the actual area of the mat is a bit too small for me. I'm sure it would be fine for most people, but I find it a bit constraining (again, due to my height). If you ever make an XL version of this, please let me know!
Last year I randomly started having peripheral neuropathy in my left foot. It was so severe that I was unable to hike for two months and barely able to walk. I bought one of these mats, the neuroball, and the insoles. The mat is in front of my kitchen sink where I spend a great deal of time. It has been one of the major helps in keeping this numbness under control. I make sure to dig my foot around on it and spend a lot of time walking back and forth. I recommend these products to anyone struggling with neuropathy or who just want to enhance their door sensitivity. Thanks:)
