The Ivy is a leather zip-up ankle boot with an ultra wide toe box. It is perfect for people who can't find dressy shoes that are wide enough, even in barefoot shoe brands. It has a smart, simple design and a stylish mainstream look. They can be worn year-round, but during cold winter months a sheepskin insert will help preserve warmth. This year, the Ivy sole has been updated to include a side wall.

Add warmth by pairing the boots with Shapen Merino Wool Insoles made specifically for the Ivy.

  • Shapen recommends 8 - 12 mm extra space in front of the longest toes for ideal barefoot feeling.

Materials:
  • Upper: Cowhide leather.
  • Interior Lining: Felt.
  • Sole: Flexible, durable, rubber with anti-slip pattern, only 3.5 mm thin
  • Insulation: Thermo foam 3 mm thin.

Runs small/Exchange rate

I purchased my normal size 37 based on what was recommended, but my big toe was touching the edge and felt a bit crammed. I'm hoping to exchange for the next size up, as I really do like the style of the shoe. Anya's shop has accepted my return/exchange, but I'm required to make a new purchase at a rate that is now higher than what I paid (I purchased during Black Friday). I'm hoping to hear back from customer service asap, as I was hoping to have these shoes in time for the upcoming holidays.

Nice with one caveat

I really love my Ivy boots! I got the brown and they look classy and nice. Like most Shapen shoes, they have a super wide toe box, so if you’re not used to that look they can seem a little more “clown shoe” than other barefoot brands. My one caveat is that the pull loop on back is flimsy, and one of them ripped off while I was pulling my boot on. This was obviously a bit frustrating in such an expensive pair of boots. Otherwise the quality is A+

Boots for walking all day!

I'm a teacher, so I'm on my feet all the day. These boots hold up well all through the cold months. I took them recently on a trip to the UK in November, and my feet were happy while walking all over London!

Bought both colors.

I really like the style and quality of leather. I wear a 36 in the Shapen Rewind sneakers so I first ordered these in a 36. They were difficult to put on and my toes came very close to the edge. Returned for 37s and they are perfect. I am normally a 6 or 6.5 and have a medium to slightly wide foot. Recommend these and the Rewinds.

My Experience

Just my personal experience
-Great upper material. Still shiny and not too creased after lots of wear and aftercare.
-Great zero drop.
-Looks good, I have gotten compliments.
-Huge plus for me: Almost a slip on.
^Except that if you don't zip up at least a little, your zippers will be on the ground.
-Good toe box. Doesn't go the very widest, but good wiggle room.

-Flimsy ankle loop. Not stitched securely enough to actually help you pull on the shoes.
-Okay sole. Slippery on my vinyl/linoleum work spaces. But I do have good sensation, good flexibility.

I am pretty happy with this shoe still. But it helped me get ever pickier for next time. ;)
