Very disappointed! I got these in black a few months ago and was so excited to also order them now in the warm caramel. The shoes seem to have No wool lining, and the material looks almost vegan. They don't even have the leather smell. Also, the side elastic is not a slight contrast as shown in the ad, and the tag on the inside tongue area no longer says Mukishoes. They are not the warm caramel color as advertised and unfortunately look nothing like the ads. Pix to compare to my recently purchased black ones.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We wanted to clarify that both the black and caramel colors of these boots are made with leather uppers (neither color is the vegan version of the boots). Otherwise, the caramel color is distinctly different in the lining. The black chelsea boots are lined with felted wool, but the caramel ones are lined with burel wool. Burel is a traditional Portugeuse wool fabric that is tighter woven and more water resistant compared to felted wool.
These have practically everything I wanted in a black Chelsea boot: simple stitch-work, a narrow leg opening for my narrow ankles, and high-quality materials. My feet are 24.9cm long, about 9cm wide, low-volume and sloped; I sized up to a 40 as I read the back/leg opening pushes the foot forward in the boot, plus I wanted to be able to wear thick socks with them in cold weather. I did find my feet were pushed forward in the boots, although there is also a gap in the heel cup that causes my ankles to rub against the backs of the boots if I wear thin socks. I also added a thin shoe insert to decrease the volume inside the shoe. The ground feel is amazing, yet I have been able to walk for extended periods of time without excessive fatigue.
My feet are low volume, low-med width, and plateau shape. Too high volume for me but could have made it work with fit hacks. I really liked the overall look of the boots - could be dressed up or down.
The only issue is that they run small. My feet are 26.7 cm and the 42 felt more like a 41.
I love these boots so much. I sized up to wear with warmer socks. The leather is dreamy!
I started switching all my shoes to barefoot styles a couple years ago. Rain boots, snow boots, sneakers were easier for me to find. I could not find a “nice” pair of shoes/boots until these. They’re beautiful, love the color. Love that they’re leather and wool. And super comfortable and easy to get on and off. It’s so nice to have a place to buy European barefoot shoes with easy shipping and returns. Please keep getting more shoes! Thanks!
