They are so darn cute, and comfy to boot ;) you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort. I’ve already have so many compliments. They do run larger than I am used to for barefoot shoes. My previous experience is with the brand Lems, so in reference to there sizing- size down :)
I loved the quality and the rugged look. Unfortunately they ran large for me (ordered 40 typically wearing size 40, 9.8'' foot length but it was tad bit loose). Also, these are not super flexible.
4.5 stars because the leather is quite thin and creases/shows marks easily. But ugh these boots are gorgeous! I love the soles. They are flexible, light and have almost a slight bounce to them. I hope that more barefoot companies will take note of the last shape and the attractive outsoles because this is exactly how a boot should look. Love.
Sadly, they will not work for me. The 39s were too small with my toes bumping the edges of the boot. The 40s were too big-- they gave me duck feet and I kept tripping on the big toe, which is shaped at a bit of an angle. I tried each pair with midweight Darn Tough hiking socks. My feet are 24.5cm.
If you have low-volume feet, I would definitely buy insoles for these. I considered trying an insert to see if I could rig the size 40s to fit, but they were just too big. The 39s were sooo close to fitting, but I'd still have needed insoles for those.
I think that the boots might be unisex? I'd probably do better with a female-specific fit. I'm exchanging for a different style and sad not to be able to keep these.
exactly what I was looking for. I was torn between this and the Chelsea style but after consideration I chose these bc I already have the lems Chelsea boots in black. these are so perfect for fall. they are comfortable and don't seem to need any significant breaking in. they are laced pretty strangely and i hate that the tounge doesn't stay in place EVER. there is also pretty significant creasing in the toe, so if that's important to you maybe skip these
These look really fashionable to me. I wore them with a dress and it was a great outfit. The material feels really good. The leather is real and I love that. I have the Peerko frost and compared to this boot's sole, I like the El naturalista more. It has a texture on the bottom that feels closer to a boot for walking outside. I marked this 4 star, because of the way it feels when I walk. When I pull my foot up, the back of the heel seems to pull the back of my heel in a way that's a bit uncomfortable. I hope this lessens with breaking in.
