nice ground feel, even wearing with sheep wool insoles. the leather is pretty. it's quite a pale orange - paler than the warm autumnal in the pictures. the leather is incredibly thin and supple, and the lining is thin, a few millimetres both together. they do not feel hardwearing at all. they are dressy shoes to me and I would not dare wear them in mud, personally. they are not waterproofed - a drop of water on them absorbs and creates a stain. I have now waterproofed them with a spray and hopefully I'm not going to worry about them being stained all the time. I've got skinny feet and ankles so they bulge a bit at the ankle where my feet don't fill them. however they're the perfect size lengthwise and my toes are very comfortable. they are also a good width. they are not warm, I can feel cold through the boot at 6degreesC. A good autumn and spring boot. the sole is stitched so hopefully they will last a while. time will tell if they're worth the price tag.
I love these boots so much!! I wore them for my wedding and now I wear them as every day boots. Theyre a little big for me, but not too much and so they just have room for thicker socks!
These are the perfect fall shoes! They look good with everything and are so comfortable. The leather is very supple and the soles are thin and flexible. I will say they are not very warm (due to the thin sole) and I wouldn't wear them in below freezing temperatures. However, it's nice that my feet don't cook in the Colorado-sunny early fall days, and I also ordered wool insoles for when it gets chillier. I'm already heavily considering getting the Munkishoes Igneous boots for winter.
After wearing them for a few days, I wish I had ordered a size up. The angle of the ankle seems to push my feet forward slightly and my toes barely touch the front when I walk. The size I ordered is 7mm longer than my feet with thick socks, so I'd say 12-15mm extra length would be ideal. My toes are plateau shaped and my feet are medium volume, medium width.
