These are honestly extremely comfortable and nice shoes. They don't get dirty easily, and my feet don't feel bad after the whole day. Really nice comfortable barefoot dressy shoes. However, it is truly difficult and takes forever to put the shoes on because of the terrible placement of the buckle. If you are willing to pinch and squeeze and fold your body every time you want to put them on and take them off, then they're a great shoe. Do not buy if you are pregnant, not flexible, or can't bend over/sideways easily. I do like them enough that i'm thinking of taking them to a cobbler, to move the buckle to the inside of the ankle, instead of the farthest outside it could possibly be. Great shoes but hard to use.
I’ve been wearing barefoot shoes for about 2 years. These are by far the most comfortable “dressy” shoes I’ve ever worn. They’re so cute! I’m 40 and live in Los Angeles and feel put-together wearing these out for a cocktail. FWIW, I’m a size 39 with high volume, wide feet, and I like the wide for this shoe. I tried and returned the Poppy which hits my (itty-bitty!) big-toe-bunion in the wrong place, but this shoe feels stable and perfect. I will absolutely rebuy these.
We loved reading your review, Samantha! I had the same experience with the Poppy vs the Orchid with my bunions, so that's great insight for others here. Thank you so much for your wonderful review and we look forward to serving you again soon!
These are beautiful shoes!
So well made. I am barefoot all the way and i was looking for barefoot dress shoes for my sons wedding. Thes are amazing and the leather is beautiful.
So cute and comfy and fit perfectly!
I've had these for several months now. I love them and wear them constantly. They could not be more comfortable and elegant for a barefoot style shoe - perfect for work and with dresses. Here are my minor, but notable issues. The buckle is really challenging. The strap just doesn't fit well into the buckle. I finally just figured out how to leave them buckled and wiggle into them. It's probably bad for the structure of the heel, but it's worth it. Second, the color (black) is wearing off noticeably around the edges. And finally, they are just sort of not quite finished, meaning the insole is not completely stuck to the footbed, I've had to cut a few loose stiches off the straps, etc. All that said, I'm buying them in beige for summer and will replace the black ones when they wear out/fall apart because despite these things, they are worth it!
We love that you see the value of these, Arland! Feel free to protect them with leather spray to help with the color. We recommend Nikwax or Kiwi spray. Let us know if you need further assistance at shop@anyas-shop.com!
