Laboo X Anya - Leather Sandals with Ankle Wrap

They don't offer a width sizing chart like all the other shoe brands they offer, so it was a guessing game since they would not answer my question.

The sizing is off and the recommendation to size up didn't work. I usually take a 39 in most wider toe box shoes like Belenka with about a 9.8 inch or 25.1 cm length and a 3.8 - 4 inch or 10 cm width to accommodate a good toe box fro a plateau-ish front foot yet narrow heal. I tried the 40 at their recommendation and it was huge, about 5 " wide across the diagonal from big to small toe and 10.5 " long. So I exchanged them for a 38, which barely met the edge of my foot. I exchanged the 38 for a 39, which is my normal size and fit just right. I'd say they'd be good for wide plateau and square feet but...

The problem in the tie is that the short length of leather with the slit that acts as an eye for the long length to go through, slides and loosens as you walk, so that the foot starts to slide out of the back of the sandal. The style at the front of the sandal pushes the foot back, so you can see in photos of the buckle sandal, the foot moves backwards in the sandal too. Neither styles are functional. I think they are still working the kinks out. So I had to return them all.

I think a traditional Roman sandal with 2 ties would be perfect. Something tried, true and tested.

There was also so much confusion with the exchange portal which sent me a duplicate QR code for the second return, which created a missingFedEx package and about 20 chaotic emails to coordinate both the 2nd and 3rd return. Hopefully they'll work out the kinks. I wish they offered more selections with a wide toe box as most offering are for narrow and mountain shaped feet.

Genius design with the adjustable straps! It takes some finagling to get them fitted and tied securely (had to watch the YouTube video) but was totally worth the effort. After reading some reviews and the sizing details which suggests sizing up, I decided to try a 44 rather than my usual 42 and I’m really glad I did. There’s just enough wiggle room in the length and they fit beautifully. The tan color is gorgeous and I’m already looking forward to buying another color. This is my third purchase from Anya’s shop and will most definitely return.

I wore these all summer last year and the summer before and absolutely love them. They actually make my wide feet feel cute and dainty and I would think they were cool even if I was still buying conventional shoes. It can take a little while to figure out how to tie them correctly but I love that the straps allow for an adjustable fit, they fit better than any sandal ever has before. They have also held up exceptionally well and are in great condition going into my third summer! The only issue I’ve had with them is sometimes the front edge catches on something and causes me to stumble, but I think that’s due to getting used to walking in barefoot sandals and not being used to having such a flexible sole? I don’t think it’s something wrong with the shoe.

These sandals are, hands-down, the best barefoot sandals that I've ever had and I've tried a lot over the years.

It takes a little bit to understand how to adjust them, but once you do, it's super simple. The video that Anya has helped me. It's so nice that every part of these are fully adjustable.

The leather is so soft and buttery. The leather strap ties up quite nicely and I don't have to worry about it slipping down or coming undone like some other tie up sandals that I've tried.

These are cute and versatile! You can dress them down for more causal looks or they can work for dressier occasions.

I absolutely LOVE these and I'm looking forward to wearing them for years to come.
