Cute, comfortable, fully adjustable, good sole grip--what else can one ask for!? These are more comfy than my expensive "adventure sandals" are really cute, and work amazingly well for a wide toe box. Will prob get another in another color next year. I do think these should come with instructions, it took me a while to figure out how they adjust--the video really helped. It's a bit finicky to start especially as they first stretch but they are really amazing once you dial them in. 10/10
(They DO run small, so I would size up)
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Anita! We're delighted to hear you love the sandals and your feedback about the sizing and instructions is very helpful. We look forward to serving you again soon. Enjoy!
I hardly ever write a review. But these sandals are outstanding! I never wanted to try the ankle wrap style because it just didn't suit me. I am delighted that Laboo now comes with a buckle strap. I had to watch the video to figure out how to adjust them, but it was easy and now they are so very comfortable. The leather is soft, the soles give just enough protection, and I was easily able to adjust the buckle to right behind my ankle - just wonderful.
Hi there! We're thrilled to hear you love the sandals. Thanks so much for sharing your valuable experience and we hope to serve you again soon! :)
I love these sandals and wear them as often as I can. They're comfortable, flattering, high quality leather, and the sole has enough grip to feel secure but still very flexible. One of the features I am loving is the fact that the straps are really one continuous piece of leather. Because of this, you can pull out more slack or tighten up certain sections to suit your foot volume. It took me a little experimenting of course but now the straps feel so customized.
The size issue: Based on the size chart and after measuring my foot I ordered a 39. They were obviously too small, my feet were hanging off the edge! Exchanged for 40, perfect fit. I see other customers have said similar. Consider updating size chart?
Another sizing note: I have long toes and a lot of sandals don't leave enough room after the toe post. These have the perfect amount of room for me. After getting the right size 40, I attest they are long toe friendly :)
Hi Dmitri and thank you for sharing your experience! We're glad you love the sandals and appreciate your feedback on sizing. We'll look into updating the size chart to help future customers. Enjoy your awesome, new customized shoes! :)
I have been on the hunt for a comfortable sandal and was hoping these would be the one. I probably could have gone one size up, but the size I got was workable. It was the toe post that I found super uncomfortable. It is so thick that it put a lot of pressure on the space between my toes.
Thanks for the review, Erica! We're sorry to hear the sandals weren't as comfortable as you'd hoped. They do soften and adapt with time and wear, but please let us know if you need recommendations for other sandals!
These shoes are gorgeous, high-quality and comfortable. I highly recommend them and can't think of any improvements for the shoes themselves. I will review them in the ankle tie version, which I ended up keeping after I exchanged these. My frustration is with the way that sizing is conveyed. I read the blog where Anya talks about Laboo, checked the size chart carefully, and measured my feet obsessively. Anya's blog states that the shoes run small, but that the size chart is accurate. The product description says that the shoes run small and to check the size chart for correct sizing. My feet measured consistently at 24.5 cm and that has held true for the other brands I've tried from Anya's Shop, so I decided to order a size 39 based on the Laboo size chart. Even running small, there should have been some wiggle room based on the 3-10mm range recommended in the optimal fit note. But nope. These were tiny. My heel hung over the edge no matter how I adjusted the sandals. I had to exchange the buckle version for the ankle strap version since the buckle had run out of stock, and I had to make unnecessary returns that could have been avoided if the size chart was updated or if the site was clear that the size chart itself is inaccurate. It was frustrating to read on the blog and in the product description that the chart is accurate and to find that it absolutely is not. I think that this is easily correctable, hence the low rating. Unnecessary returns due to inaccurate information are wasteful and frustrating. With that said, the instant exchange that Anna's Shop uses is the best I've ever seen. It was incredibly simple to choose an entirely different pair of shoes and the replacement was sent out before I'd even sent the exchange from my end. They processed my exchange rapidly and without issue. I still have another pair of shoes to return, so I'll update if something weird happens from that. But thus far, I would not hesitate to order from Anna's Shop again. It's wonderful to have access to shoes that are very difficult to source in the U.S., and it's great to know that exchanges are so flawless. I hope that they'll tighten up their site descriptions because so far, that is literally my only complaint [it happened with another pair of shoes, too.] So unless Anya's Shop updates the blog and product page for this shoe, it runs a full size smaller than even a generous measurement on the size chart. I tried a 40 and 41 after the failed 39 and ended up feeling most comfortable in the size 40.
