I got my usual size, 38, even though it’s mentioned to size up. They fit pretty snug. My toes and heels are right at the edge which is fine with me because I don’t like a bumper. I tend to trip if I have too much space at the front. I love these!! They’re so soft and adorable. Happy with this purchase.
Woohoo! We're so glad you love the sandals, Audrey! Thanks for sharing your experience and enjoy. :)
From the mailbox to my feet to the street in ten minutes. Loved them from the first step. Light and secure, the summer feeling I've longed for in a super minimal sandal without the breaking-in, strap strain, heel fatigue. I've been barefoot training for nearly two years and this is the first time I feel like the shoe maker actually gets it. Thank you Anya!
Oh, what thrilling news, Janet! Thanks for sharing your experience and enjoy your summer walks!
Hi everyone! I was sooo excited to buy my first pair of sandals off Anya’s site. I actually didn’t size up and I’m indifferent. I don’t like too much of a bumper because I trip very easily. With that being said, I’m generally happy, but do wish I had maybe a mm more in front. If I had sized up I would’ve had too much room. So they’re fitting snug and super cute! I ordered a 38 and usually wear that in Birkenstock sandals. We will see how it goes! 😬😂
Thanks for sharing your experience, Audrey! We're glad the sandals are cute and snug and hope you continue to enjoy them. :)
I purchased a 41 (which is what I'm usually sizing at), and they are too short -- I didn't realize until I looked in the mirror and saw my chubby heel spilling out the backside. Then I looked back at the "Anya's Reviews" website - the page with the list of dressy sandals - where the information DOES say to size up - so hopefully that information can be more cohesive from website to website with Anya's branding.
The materials are lovely - the leather is a bit scratchy between the big and little toe and one of the straps does seem a bit gratuitous.
Coming off of 5 years of plantar fasciitis, there is absolutely no way I could see myself surviving in these and through one wedding with some light dancing or even one trip to Costco without eliciting symptoms in my feet. Ouch! So, back they go.
Anya, if you can recommend another zero drop, wide toe box sandal with similiar look/materials but with a tad more cushion, I'm all ears (do Grecian Sandals on Etsy have more cushion?)!
Hi Ashley, thank you for your detailed feedback. We appreciate your insights on sizing and materials. We’re working on clearer sizing guidance for our website! For more cushioned options with a similar style, please email our team at shop@anyas-shop.com :)
Cute, comfortable, fully adjustable, good sole grip--what else can one ask for!? These are more comfy than my expensive "adventure sandals" are really cute, and work amazingly well for a wide toe box. Will prob get another in another color next year. I do think these should come with instructions, it took me a while to figure out how they adjust--the video really helped. It's a bit finicky to start especially as they first stretch but they are really amazing once you dial them in. 10/10
(They DO run small, so I would size up)
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Anita! We're delighted to hear you love the sandals and your feedback about the sizing and instructions is very helpful. We look forward to serving you again soon. Enjoy!
